Chemistry

Description

Chemistry is the study of the behavior of matter and the principles which govern that behavior. The online summer school course in chemistry will explore the topics of: particulate structure of matter, energy and kinetic molecular theory, models of the atom/atomic structure, nomenclature, energy and chemical change, and stoichiometry. Class discussions, simulations, synchronous labs and activities will further illustrate these topics and are designed to encourage the development of a scientific mindset and use of the scientific method. Students will develop communication, collaboration, technology, and reasoning skills. Students should expect to purchase basic lab supplies (~$50) as per the instructor.
