Geometry

Description

Through independent problem-solving and discussion, students will investigate geometric concepts and learn to use familiar ideas as versatile problem-solving tools. Students build upon algebra skills and practice mathematical arguments while discovering and applying new concepts. With an emphasis on plane Euclidean geometry, topics include parallel lines, congruence, similarity, logical deduction, trigonometry, and an investigation of relationships in triangles, quadrilaterals, general polygons, and circles.
