Summer is all about flexibility and having fun, but why not engross yourself in learning too?

We’ve designed our Summer Online courses and programs for high school students with a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous class time, so our students can participate from anywhere in the world! Our courses cover a range of unique topics across a wide spectrum of themes, but what they all have in common is impeccable teachers, and a challenging curriculum meant to broaden your perspective. Upon successful completion of each class, you will have access to a transcript of the credits earned available to you through PCGL at Miss Porter’s School.

We offer multiple types of summer online courses for high school girls around the world from June 26 – August 4, 2023. 

Core Math & Science Courses

  • Earn full year course credit from Miss Porter’s School through taking these 6 week intensive courses.
  • Students can expect 20-22 hours of engagement per week, including 10 hours of synchronous class time per week and individual support from the instructor. Class meets synchronously 5 times per week, meeting times are listed for each course offered. 
  • Courses will have a maximum enrollment of 12 students.
  • While instructors will provide some electronic resources, students may be required to purchase texts and other resources.

Math & Sciences

Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship

  • Earn high school credit and a transcript from Miss Porter’s School through taking this 6 week course.
  • Students can expect 15-20 hours of engagement per week, including 4.5 hours of synchronous class time per week and individual support from the instructor. Class meets synchronously 3 times per week.
  • Courses will have a maximum enrollment of 16 students.
  • While instructors will provide some electronic resources, students may be required to purchase texts and other resources.

Online Journalism Course with Author & Journalist Paul Kix

  • Earn high school credit and a transcript from Miss Porter’s School through taking this 8 week course
  • Students can expect 8-12 hours of engagement per week, including 1.5 hours of synchronous class time per week on Saturdays from 9-10:30am EST and individualized support from Paul Kix
  • Space is limited in this course and are first come, first serve
