Why this camp is unique:
Real-World Learning
Campers apply their financial learning skills to a team project, running their own business to then donate the profit to a local organization that they choose.
Collaboration in Action
Campers work together to make decisions about budgeting, pricing, marketing, and operations.
Confidence for the Future
Along the way, campers build communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills they will carry forward into school and beyond.
What Campers Do
Throughout the week, campers learn the fundamentals of budgeting and entrepreneurial finances, exploring how businesses manage money by calculating costs, setting prices, and tracking profits. They practice teamwork and leadership while planning their small business and designing simple branding and marketing strategies to promote their project. The week concludes with the opening of the She Means Business pop-up shop, where campers run their business in the Miss Porter’s and Farmington community and proudly donate their proceeds to a local social cause.
